Staff Recommendation Background:
In light of the continued state of emergency as declared and set forth in Governor Ron DeSantis' Executive Order 20-52, and all subsequent extensions thereto, the City Commission hereby finds it necessary and in the best interests of safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Lauderdale Lakes to extend the local state of emergency, retroactively from March 27, 2020 for the purpose of administering the City’s procurement of goods or services, vaccination distribution, application and support for FEMA Public Assistance reimbursement, as well as other similar local governmental functions not inconsistent with the Executive Orders 21-101 and 21-102.
