Staff Recommendation Background:
On April 23rd, 2024, the City Commission approved an agreement with FDOT to provide funding in the amount of $437143 for design services of the Citywide Traffic Calming – Various Location project. The project consists in the construction and installation of traffic calming devices such as roundabout and speed bumps in several locations throughout the city specifically: on NW 24th Street (Eastgate), NW 34th Street, NW 35th Avenue (Northgate), NW 33rd Street (Westgate), NW 41st Street (Oakland Estates).
Kimley-Horn and Associates was retained to provide design services for this project. The final design package has been submitted to FDOT for review and approval.
This agreement provides funding in the amount of $1,411,347 to cover construction as well as engineering inspection cost for this project. This agreement expires on December 31st, 2028. Staff recommends City Commission to approve the resolution. Funding Source:
