The renewal term is from April 2027- March 31 2031, for four (4) additional years for a total of eight (8) years, with renewal options being exercised on a year-to-year basis. Staff Recommendation Background:
In accordance with the Florida Statute 287.055, Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA), the City of Lauderdale Lakes and the Community Redevelopment Agency issued a solicitation for qualified, experienced, and licensed firm (s) to provide a variety of professional services
The City of Lauderdale Lakes, in compliance with Florida Statute 287.055, Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA), sought proposals from qualified and experienced engineering firms to perform continuing professional engineering and management services for City’s Professional Services Library.
All work awarded under this contract will be for projects in which the estimated construction cost of each individual project under the contract does not exceed $4 million, for study activity if the fee for professional services for each individual study under the contract does not exceed $500,000. All work will be performed in accordance with high industry standards and comply with applicable laws, and regulations.
The city awarded RFQ #22-3110-07Q Professional Services Library Consultants for the 11 disciplines via Resolutions as follows:
- Resolution 2023-056 Contract Award for General Planning Services
- Resolution 2023-057 Contract Award for Geotechnical Engineering Services
- Resolution 2023-058 Contract Award for Architecture Services
- Resolution 2023-059 Contract Award for Civil Engineering Services
- Resolution 2023-060 Contract Award for GIS Services
- Resolution 2023-063 Contract Award for MEP Services
- Resolution 2023-064 Contract Award for Roadway Traffic Engineering Services
- Resolution 2023-065 Contract Award for Stormwater Drainage Services
- Resolution 2023-066 Contract Award for Land Survey Services
- Resolution 2023-076 Contract Award for Structural Engineering
- Resolution 2023-077 Contract Award for Landscape Architecture
A total of 24 vendors were awarded various disciplines. Of the 24 vendors, two (2) were removed from the library.
- ACAI ASSOCIATES INC. was removed from the following disciplines as they are no longer in business. They were part of the following disciplines.
- Architecture Services
- AE ENGINEERING was terminated for convenience. They were part of the following disciplines.
- Civil Engineering Services
- Roadway Traffic Engineering Services

The original term runs through April 1 2023- March 31 2027. The renewal period allowed via the resolution and the contract runs from April 1 2027- March 31 2031, for a total of eight (8) years, with renewal options being exercised on a year-to-year basis Funding Source:
The approval of the Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) contract awards does not necessarily constitute a fiscal impact. For professional services that exceed the authority of the City Manager, a task order will be submitted to the City Commission for review and approval. Fiscal Impact:
