A.STATEMENT OF PURPOSE OF THE SPECIAL MEETING

Consideration of Resolutions 2026-044 and 2026-045. Resolution 2026-044 authorizes an agreement with the City of Lauderdale Lakes and Juke Boxx Productions for the performance services of Tarrus Riley in connection with the Caribbean American Unity Fest: Food and Wine Tasting scheduled to take place on June 5, 2026. Resolution 2026-045 authorizes the use of City space for a Mobile Mammogram Event scheduled for May 30, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to provide mammogram screenings and related medical services to uninsured women in the community.

4.CONSIDERATION OF BUSINESS CONTAINED IN THE CALL FOR SPECIAL MEETING
A.RESOLUTION 2026-044 APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LAUDERDALE LAKES AND JUKE BOXX PRODUCTIONS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTATIONS AT THE CARIBBEAN AMERICAN UNITY FEST EVENT: FOOD AND WINE TASTING TAKING PLACE ON JUNE 5, 2026, FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000.00

This resolution authorizes an agreement between the City of Lauderdale Lakes and Juke Boxx Productions for the performance services of Tarrus Riley in connection with the Caribbean American Unity Fest: Food and Wine Tasting scheduled to take place on June 5, 2026.

B.RESOLUTION 2026-045 AUTHORIZING A MOBILE MAMMOGRAM EVENT TO PROVIDE MEDICAL SERVICES AND TREATMENT TO UNINSURED WOMEN IN THE COMMUNITY ON MAY 30, 2026 (SPONSORED BY COMMISSIONER MAXWELL-WILLIAMS)

This resolution authorizes the use of City space for a Mobile Mammogram Event scheduled for May 30, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to provide mammogram screenings and related medical services to uninsured women in the community. The event is a partnership between Commissioner Maxwell-Williams and the Broward County Department of Health.
